Burleson Country law enforcement will be out in full force too.   Not only is Chilifest happening but there is also an Biker Rally at Big Creek Park on Lake Somerville.   So please watch for bikes as well.

What does St. Patrick's Day, Women's Basketball, Barrel Racing and boys youth basketball have in common?


It's all happening in Bryan College Station, Texas this weekend March 16-19.   


For your St. Patty's Day enjoyment visit one of the local Irish Pub's

is having their St. Patrick's Day 2012 Celebration all day.   


Texas A&M is hosting games for the first two rounds of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament on Saturday and Monday. Ticket sales for Saturdays game as of Thursday was 5,200 and 4,000 for Monday.  Tickets will also be available at the box office or online at 12thmanfoundation.com.  Steve Miller, director of events at the A&M athletic department, said the tournament games will fill at least 500 hotel rooms this weekend.  


The first annual Diamonds and Dirt Barrel Horse Classic is "bringing the bling back to Texas" where it all began! is going on March 14 - 18 at the Brazos County Expo.   There are 1,300-participants signed up for this event.   


Kindra Fry, director of sports at the Bryan-College Station Convention and Visitors Bureau, said that virtually every hotel room in the community is booked through the weekend.

Northgate Enterainment District in College Station, TX

According to www.cstx.org the parking rates for the City Run Northgate Entertainment District is as follows.

HOURLY AND EVENT PARKING RATES


Garage Hourly Rates*
3 a.m. - 8 p.m. $1 /hr
8 p.m. - 3 a.m. $2 /hr
Lost Ticket Fee $10
Special Event / Home Game (7 a.m. - 12 a.m.) $10
Promenade Lot Rates*
Thursday, Friday, Saturday (8 p.m. - 3 a.m.) $2 /hr
Special Event / Home Game $2 /hr
All Other Times $0.75 /hr

There are a couple of other parking lots that are farther away that charge different rates.  (I will add an update of these prices asap)

These prices or not really that bad but as you know this is TEXAS.   If it is not HOT then it is COLD or not very often but recently quite a bit it RAINS.  

If you call a taxi then we can drop you off closer to the door of the MANY Great Bars and Clubs at Northgate.  AND you don't have to worry about getting a DWI for having one or two drinks while you are enjoying you night out.

College Station DWI Arrest Numbers

According to KBTX Channel three reporter Clay Falls

DWI Arrest Numbers Down Around Brazos County Except for College Station

News 3 looked at the data between four area agencies and found that College Station was the only department to have an increase in DWI arrests between 2010 and 2011 where it jumped 30 percent.
